A bit of a disappointing Halloween, not too many kids showed up yesterday
after buying $30.00 worth of candy. Oh well, Jen is happy she gets to eat
it all. We had some friends over last night & played some games while we
were waiting for the kids. It was fun for us at least. I wonder if
the kids didn't show up because it was chilly. |

Friday!!!... about time I
have to say. Next Wednesday we have an appointment with the doctor
to see how the baby is doing. I'll be sure to have a posting that
day and let people know what is going on. I can't wait to have a sonogram
done so I can see the baby. I'll ask them to print me a picture so
I can post it here. |

| It's been a few days since
we've posted anything new, so sorry about that. Nothing too
exciting has really been going on, so I don't really have much to say,
except "Yay! It's Friday tomorrow!" I'm going to
carve a pumpkin this weekend, and buy candy (some for the
trick-or-treaters, lots for me). It'll be fun to actually have
kids come to our door this year. I have no idea how many
to expect. Probably lots though. Happy Halloween! Jennifer |

| Isn't
it nice to be able to take a weekend now and then when you don't have
any commitments, and you can just relax at home? That's kind of
how our weekend went. Now another Monday is almost done (for
teachers anyway), and the toughest part of the week - getting started
- is over. I find it very difficult to get moving in the
mornings, especially since it's dark out. However, soon we will
have time change, and it will feel like we get to sleep in for an hour
(yay!). As a side note, for those of our friends and family who haven't had a chance to see our house, we're working on getting our hands on a digital camera to take some pictures, and then we'll post them on this page. Pictures won't do it justice though - you'll just have to come and see it for yourselves (hint, hint). Jennifer |

| Furnace Saga Part II Yay!!! The furnace man came and fixed the problem. Wanna know how easy it was? He took the cover off the thermostat and turned a little dial (the indicator?). He checked out the rest of the furnace and there were no other problems. Basically, this little dial was turned as far as it would go, and so it was telling the furnace to shut off after a very short time. Because of this, it wasn't allowing enough warm air to come through and heat the house. So having this guy come and turn a little dial is going to cost $65. Sheesh. At least we won't freeze this winter. From a nice and warm, Jennifer |

to be right for a change. Why me?? It's been snowing all
morning. Jennifer |

not "geek talk", it is Technology news & information.

| Just
so you don't think that SamayoaWeb.com is all geek talk, I figured I'd
better put my two cents-worth in :o) Lethbridge has warmed up a
bit, and those of us who have to do lunch-hour supervision this week are
eternally grateful. Unfortunately, we're supposed to get about 5cm
of snow over the next 24 hours, but as Jose says, the weather people
couldn't pick their own mothers out of a crowd, let alone pick the right
weather. They haven't been too accurate lately. I hope
they're not accurate - if I have to tell one more kid to leave the snow
on the ground.... I would get assigned to supervision duty the
week of the first snowfall! Oh well, at least it gets me outside
for some much needed fresh air and exercise. Sadly, tromping
around the school field is about the extent of my exercise lately.
Jose and I are looking at a major lifestyle change to fix that problem.
In other news, we had Atco Gas come to look at our furnace today because in the chilly weather we've had lately, we noticed that our house isn't as warm as it should be. The basement is a nice temperature, but the top floor doesn't get past 17 degrees. Very unpleasant for showers in the morning, especially when it's already tough to get out of bed in the dark. Unfortunately the gas man couldn't fix our problem so we're going to have to fork out $65 to have the furnace people come look at it (on top of $66 to have a toilet snaked - why didn't anyone tell us owning a house was such a headache???). Hopefully it will be a quick, easy, CHEAP fix. Stay tuned for the exciting sequel to our furnace adventures! Bye for now, Jennifer |

| I just read at THD
that the XBox2 will be announced at the CES show in January 2005. Apparently
this new XBox is going to have a PowerPC processor (the CPU used on
Apple computers made by IBM) running at 3.5 GHz with three, THREE!!,
different cores. I'm sure there is nothing this processor can't do.

roads already. Looks like another busy Monday. I need one of those hats
that hold 2 beers and a big straw. Jose out |

| Well, winter has set in in
Lethbridge. We received our first snowfall today. There's
about two inches on the ground right now by our calculations. Good
thing Jose bought a new snow shovel just the other day. He got to
try it out for the first time today. The temperature right now is
about -5, but it feels like -10 according to the weather website. We
were going to go to Natalia's house for supper tonight, but Whoop-up Drive
was closed, which is one of two ways to get off the west side. We
decided not to risk the highway, just in case we couldn't get back.
So we walked over to Blockbuster instead, and now we're off to enjoy a
quiet evening at home in front of the TV. Bye for now, Jennifer |
