Changes
Posted by: JenniferAs you may have noticed, some changes have been made to the website. You can now view the archived blogs by clicking on the "Archive" button at the top of the page. While making these changes, Jose somehow managed to erase my last two entries. I'm going to attempt to recreate them, but I may miss stuff. So if you haven't been keeping up, you might miss something. But that's what you get for not following along regularly :)
Sammy's Surgery
The post I did after the Atlanta one was about Sam's surgery. He
had it on August 22 up in Calgary, and it went very well. He had
to have a chunk cut out of both the ulna and the radius so that his bones
could straighten out and hopefully grow some more. His problem was
that the growth plate in one of the bones had stopped working, causing
the bone that was still growing to curve over the one that had slowed
way down. Hence the surgery. He's done very well, and is now
hopping around like crazy. He's also used to the cone now.
When we first put it on, he was so scared that first, he tried to run
away from it, then when he realised it was attached, he lay on the floor
trembling for an hour.
In the most recent post, I believe I told how much James weighs (17lb
9-1/4oz) and how long he is (26-1/4"). I also talked about
how he is getting quite proficient at rolling from his back to his front.
Since that post, he has now mastered rolling from front to back, and moves
all over the living room. I put a big blanket down on the floor
today and scattered toys around so he could play with them. He loved it.
Problem is, he can only roll in one direction, so I have to put him at
one end of the blanket and when he reaches the couch, I put him back at
the beginning again. Another thing I wrote about was how I bought
James an ExerSaucer in Calgary. He loves playing in it (I know I
made it more exciting the first time but it's almost 10pm and my brain
is fried. I almost didn't remember this at all). This second
post was definitely longer than this, but I'm not sure what else I wrote.
I do know I put some pictures in:
And I told readers to compare the following pictures of James in his bouncy
chair at ages 1 week, 2 weeks, 2 months and 5 months respectively:
And I put in two videos:

Those of you who have read this already, and remember details that I've forgotten, please let me know via e-mail.
