Waterton Trip

Posted by: Jose

Last weekend we had a very nice trip to Waterton. It was a lot of fun and James had a blast. We went to Cameron lake where we walked along side the lake on a very long trail. James was in his stroller going to the end of the trail, but coming back he decided to walk. Needless to say the way back took a very long time. but the little guy made it all the way. I have a video of him walking along the way but it is too big to put on the web. I do have a little video of him playing in Cameron lake with Jen that I will post after the pictures.

After the walk we met up with some friends who had gone for a hike earlier. We had a nice picnic supper and headed home. James was so pumped about the trip he didn't go to sleep until eleven that night. Poor little guy slept in until 10 the next day. Jen was happy because she got to sleep in. I had to work.

You'll find a picture of James 1st tooth at the end.

Teeth!!

Posted by: Jose

Last week we saw James 1st tooth ever, today Jen noticed yet another tooth. My little guy has teeth!. His latest tooth is at the middle front. I hope he gets my teeth and not Jens, otherwise we are going to have some huge orthodontic bills.

We will try to take a picture of them and post them here later.

Camping

Posted by: Jen

This weekend we celebrated Canada Day by taking James on his very first camping trip with Jose's old youth group from Medicine Hat. We went to Elk Water in Cypress Hills, and were treated to beautiful weather, great company, and fewer mosquitoes than in Lethbridge. James had a fantastic time running around the campsite, and playing on the beach. He wasn't a huge fan of the water because it was rather cold, but digging in the sand with his spade was great fun, and he especially enjoyed sitting in pits that were dug for him. I don't think he stopped moving the entire weekend! He slept like a log in the tent, and again last night when he was back in his own bed. I guess all that fresh air will do that to a little guy! In fact, he didn't wake up until 8:00 this morning, then went down for a three hour nap at 9:15!

One thing we haven't mentioned (and shame on us!) is the fact that James finally popped a tooth!! It was a long time coming (he's only 15 months old!), and to prove that he does things his own way in his own time, he produced it not on the bottom where first teeth usually come in, but on the top and to the side! It's very cute.

I think that's about it for now. Make sure to check out the pictures below, and pay special attention to the tiny orange Crocs that we managed to find for James - so cute it's unbearable.
